Encompass Dance Conference 2025

The Encompass Dance Conference is BACK for it's 3rd year - get re-inspired for the new term ahead!

This 1 day event will see 4 industry experts join us live on Zoom for a series of CPD webinars covering a range of non-syllabus topics. From social media for beginners to mental health first aid, we're sure there will be something for everyone.

All talks will be recorded and sent to attendees after the event if they can’t watch live.

TIMETABLE:

10am – 11:15am: Your Business-Your Brand with Anne Walker MBE

Learn how to shape your business so that everyone will accept your vision and become part of it.

11:45am – 1:00pm: Mental Wellbeing & Resilience Workshop For Dance Teachers with Terry Hyde (CEO of Stepps Charity)

Anxiety: How to recognise and deal with exam, audition and performance anxiety in your students, and in teachers.

Fixed vs Growth Mindset: Learn the specifics of the difference and how it affects both teachers and students.

2:00pm – 3:15pm: Social Media for Beginners with Anne-Marie Martin

A brief look into creating content for social media platforms. Anne-Marie will share her tips on creating engaging content using hooks, hashtags and SEO for text.

3:45pm – 5:00pm: Dance Awards to the Rescue with Sophia Stubbs-LaRosa

Sophia will take you through how Dance Awards can be used to help retention, exam spends, support student development and enhance team work and performance skills.

The conference will be worth 6 hours of CPD and will be part of a CPD & Membership deal for bbodance teachers - check your emails for more information at the end of July.
