Back for its second year, we are thrilled to be supporting an exciting national campaign, Let’s Dance.

The campaign was founded by the fabulous Angela Rippon CBE and has one goal – to get the nation dancing!

This year, the National Day of Dance is taking place on Sunday 8th March, when up and down the nation dance events and activities will be taking place.

Aims of Let’s Dance:

  • Raise awareness of the incredible benefits of dance for our mental and physical health

  • Make it easier for everyone to access dance and join in, regardless of their fitness level, age or experience

  • Bring people together across divides and connect through the power dance

Be part of the bbodance celebrations!

1. Write a short phrase or film a video of why you love to dance.

2. Send your content to info@bbo.dance along with your name and dance school.

3. We will include you in our campaign messaging!

Entries can be individual or from your whole class/school. Get creative and help share the joy of dance.

[by entering you grant bbodance permission to use your quotes and imagery across their marketing channels]

How YOU can be involved in Let’s Dance:

Everyone can be involved in Let’s Dance and we want to support our schools, teachers and members in making the most of this exciting campaign. Below are some ways for you to be involved…

Host a Dance Event

This could be celebrating Let’s Dance at an existing class/event or setting up a one-off activity especially for the campaign. Your event can be designed in ANY way that is suitable for your context.

Share the Campaign

Spread the word! Let everyone know about Let’s Dance regardless of their affiliation with dance. You might just inspire someone to take up dance lessons or attend a dance event. This can be as simple as sharing information on social media, in newsletters or putting a poster up at your venue.

Collaborate with Others

You might want to work with local organisations to host an event or celebrate the campaign. Are there several bbodance schools in your area? Why not join together and create a new event for everyone!

Who can be involved?

Anyone! Whether participants are regular dancers or have never danced before, we encourage everyone to get involved. Some suggestions of who to engage with or who could run their own event are:

  • Dance Teacher

  • Venue Owners

  • Community Leaders

  • Child Activities Leaders

  • Workplace Wellness Coordinators

  • Local Authorities & Councils

How to get started…

1.      Announce your support of the campaign

2.      Start planning your event/collaboration/activity

3.      Invite participants and advertise

4.      Sunday 8th March – Let’s Dance!

We are looking forward to sharing the joy of dance in 2026!
