bbodance Scholar of the Year 2025-26

Congratulations to Senior Ballet Scholar Eleanor, our Scholar of the Year for the 2025-26 Scheme. This award is kindly sponsored by our uniform supplier, Dansez, and comes with a fully funded place on next year’s scheme.

We are grateful to Dansez for their continued support of the scheme and generosity to champion dancers as they continue their journey as a Scholar. 

Eleanor is a student with bbodance Registered Teacher Anya Zhavoronkova, at Skylark School of Dance in London, where she takes Ballet and Lyrical classes and is currently training in Advanced 1 Classical Ballet. Eleanor and her classmates are also preparing for the school’s annual show, taking place in June to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Skylark.

Eleanor spoke about her time as a Scholar so far:

“I have enjoyed so much about being a bbodance Scholar for many reasons, such as being able to work and learn from bbodance Artistic Director, Anita Young MBE, and developing my performance quality. This has enabled me to feel far more confident in my dancing. In addition, whilst working with Mrs Young I have gained invaluable knowledge that I will take with me into the future, and it has been a privilege to learn from her. Meeting the other Scholars in my class has been another highlight. I have made some wonderful friends that have made this experience super enjoyable.”
