Take the Stage Australia & New Zealand 2026

Welcome to the bbodance competition, Take the Stage. This competition runs annually in the UK and we are thrilled to be launching across Australia and New Zealand to celebrate the 90^th anniversary of our Australasian branch.

The competition is simple:

• Enter by submitting a video of your routine. This can be pre-recorded from a previous event or created especially for this competition. Why not enter a routine you already have?

  
  

• The entries will be judged by our specialist panel and the Top 2 entries will be crowned. This year's judging panel includes bbodance Patron Gillian Revie, and more exciting names to be announced soon.

  
  

• The Winner and Runner Up will receive certificates, a special message from our judges and the opportunity to be showcased at Dance Days 2027 (Sydney or Christchurch)!

Entry requirements:

• You MUST be associated with a bbodance Registered Teacher or Associate Member.

• You must be aged 6+ (adult entries are welcome too!)

• Videos must be between 1 and 4 minutes.

• Entries can be solos, duets, trios or troupes.

• The rest is up to you – get creative with costumes, dance styles and music!

How to enter:

• Register via this online form. In your confirmation email, there will be instructions of how to upload your video submission.

  
  

• If you wish to enter more than once, please submit one form per entry.
