TIMETABLE:
21st October (11.00am - 12.30pm): 'Improving Your Online Presence - Digital Marketing Tips and Tricks' with Spitpixel
Digital marketing can feel like spinning plates – there’s always something that needs doing to keep things moving. But if you don’t have much time, or much budget, then where do you start? Which plates do you prioritise?
Joe (Digital Marketing Specialist) and Lauren (Studio Director) are digital specialists from Splitpixel, an agency that works with arts and culture venues, producers and performers. In this session, they’ll discuss different pillars of digital marketing, giving an overview and practical advice to take away and put in practice, from quick jobs to bigger projects. They’ll talk about:
Tracking and reporting – how to record digital marketing data, and then use it to make decisions.
Business profiles – how to make sure Google and AI know exactly who you are.
SEO and AI search – how to be found both locally and nationally.
Paid advertising – how to boost your reach on search and social.
Come and learn – and ask plenty of questions!
28th October (11.00am - 12.30pm): 'Well-being Tools for Teachers' with Saphron Smith
More information coming soon...
4th November (11.00am - 12.30pm): 'Making Tax Digital - Phase 2' with Kerrie Jenkins from Atek Accounting
Whether you run a dance school, teach independently or work for yourself in any capacity, this session will help you understand what the government's Making Tax Digital initiative means for you and your business.
From April 2026, Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self-Assessment (MTD ITSA) became mandatory for around three million professionals, who may be small business owners, freelance self-employed individuals or sole traders. From April 2027, the qualifying income threshold reduces to £30,000 it is estimated that a further 1 million freelancers and sole traders will be required to comply with MTD.
That means quarterly digital reporting, HMRC-approved software, and tighter record-keeping rules. Miss the deadline, and penalties follow.
This session, prepared exclusively for bbodance members, cuts through the jargon so you know exactly where you stand - and what to do next.
You'll come away knowing:
Whether you need to join MTD and when, based on your income threshold
Advice on HMRC-approved software for digital record keeping
What to submit each quarter, how to do it, and the mistakes to avoid
How the new End-of-Period Statement and Final Declaration work
How the new penalty system operates — and how to stay on the right side of it
MTD arrived on stage in April 2026. Join us and get compliant with confidence.
All webinars are worth 2 hours of CPD for attendance and will be recorded, in case you can't watch live.
