A Christmas Carol Ballet Masterclass

Join us in Manchester this December for a brand new Christmas themed workshop!

Students aged 9 upwards will have the chance to explore magical choreography inspired by the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. We're also running a class for adult dancers too - beginners welcome! 

Be transported to Christmases past, present and future and capture your imagination through dance. The masterclasses are open to all dancers, not just bbodance members, and places are strictly limited. All classes will be accompanied by a live pianist!

Age groups & Class times:

• Ages 9-11 — 10.30-11.45am

• Ages 12-14 — 12.00-1.15pm

• Ages 15-18 — 1.45-3.15pm

• Adults — 3.30-5.00pm

About your tutor: Lynsey Kidd

Lynsey began dancing at the age of 6 at the Lupino School of Dancing. She gained a place at the Royal Ballet School, later continuing her training at the Vaganova Academy and the Central School of Ballet.

After graduating, she joined Northern Ballet under the direction of Christopher Gable and spent 15 years performing, taking on both soloist and principal roles.

Lynsey is a licentiate of the ISTD. She was a classical tutor on the first year of Northern Ballet’s CAT programme and has also taught at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Ks Dance.

Lynsey is the co-founder and director of the Mentors in Ballet Education professional training programme. She also works as an international guest teacher and has taught around the world. Alongside this, she has mentored many young dancers, supporting them from their early training through to professional careers.
