Audition Information
The BBO Scholars Scheme is open to students of BBO Registered Teachers and Associate Members. Scholars audition to attend fortnightly classes in Classical Ballet or Jazz with some of the UK’s most respected dance teachers.
Scholars are required to audition each year, with the scheme running from September to April.

Eligibility
To be eligible to audition, you must have passed the following grades (ideally with Distinction or Distinction*) in the relevant genre:

Junior Ballet – passed Grade 2

Mid Ballet – passed Grade 4
-
Senior Ballet – passed Intermediate Foundation
-
Jazz – passed Grade 4 and aged 13 +
The Audition
The audition will consist of a non-syllabus class usually lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
Exact audition time slots will be confirmed via email around two weeks prior to the audition date.
Please note that you can audition in either London or Birmingham for any scheme level.​
